What Came First – To my Mom

When eyes opened,

the only world that I saw

was filled of you.

The very first sound

I could hear,

was your release

of pure joy.

In my first touch,

you taught me

the power to feel.

The scent of skin

The first I breathed in,

when I laid in the cradle

of your arms.

Even before a tongue

knew what taste was, you were

the sound I made,

before teeth were there

too bite;

When lips and tongue

came together, I knew what

completeness was;

as my voice echoed

with the vibration of my heart,
