This want for knowledge is leaving me now.
Slipping away are the days of ‘what’ and ‘how’.
‘If’ and ‘when’ the end of a story comes
‘why’ never seems to matter anyway.
Life’s journey begins like that of a bud,
whose only want is to open into a funnel.
Each layer closed, with petal-laden walls
and a secret yearning to unfold joyfully
toward the love of a glorious sun.
The only question that seems to matter is ‘who’.
Who do we live for, who do we connect with.
‘Who’ is myself, ‘Who’ is we, us, them and you.
Who is all there is, and at the wake of a dawn,
and end of a day, who is the only answer
we care to come home too.
But even when we wrap our incompleteness
Around each other, and fall quietly into a whole,
‘Who’ slowly dissolves, as we awaken
from this dream of questions.
This want for knowledge is leaving me now
all of this want is converting into a funneling bud,
with a yearning to unfold joyfully into Love.
